Donate

Delofasht has started a donation pool!
200 / 10,000
Donations go towards making video tutorials, when the donations pool is met I will be taking a month to make various video content that will be posted on Youtube regarding my approach to art.

When I have this amount I will be able to afford a month to devote to making video content. The content itself will consist of 4 to 6 tutorials lasting between 30 minutes to an hour each, covering my approach to art, composition, perspective, creativity, form, and texture. Each video will be an introduction to one of those themes and when

Each of these videos will take anywhere from 10 to 20 hours to make which is why I have been thus far unable to afford the time, if helped to reach this goal I will be able to share a kind of content that can hopefully help others reach their goals in art. Thanks for looking and sharing, every penny counts!

(I am donating to my own cause on occasion to reach this goal, simply a good way to save up to do what I've always wanted to).

You must be logged in to donate.

Put my Wacom Intuos Pro Medium up for sale, if you are interested in it here it is on Ebay: www.ebay.com/itm/Wacom-Intuos-…

Five more days left, look at it by Friday the 26th of August, 2016.  This comes with all the original contents of the box including the installation disc and various nibs.  Buyout is 225$ and is at 165$ for bids right now.  This is a chance to pick up a great tablet at a very good discount.  Delivery anywhere in the US is set at 10$ (whether it ends up costing me more or not), get it while it is still up.
Morning Scribbles 23 by Delofasht
Morning Scribbles 23
I like to start my paintings in the ugly stage and slowly work my way towards beauty, that mostly means that if this were perceived in grayscale it would look like maybe 3 fairly boring and flat spaces, the colors help some but it's not going to look good until I start getting some more layers in.  Next step is building a wider range of values by glazing, at the same time as darkening some areas I will go about adding more light in some other areas and building a bit more color variety with important strokes.  By the way, I have almost finished Scribble number 22, I will post that when I get it all done and signed.

Morning Scribbles 22 - 2
Took it further yesterday but still have a bit further to go yet, but it is basically not a scribble anymore, as well, it is a small painting, so makes sense it would go fast.

Working on another one I will post tomorrow after I put the second layer on it. These scribbles are a great way of using up left other paint, and do a quick study that can become a lot more. I might even put this one up for sale if it turns out good enough. Oh and it got me thinking about doing a series of these from the local area.

Morning Scribbles 22
Just needed to paint something quick and easy from a reference.  Fun little study on a somewhat new surface for me.  I did a little painting on the surface a long time ago but I really didn't like it then, now a couple years later I've found a way to paint on it that I really do like and it's quite nice.  Oils on Clayboard.  The surface is extremely slick and somewhat resists early coats of paint in a way, but then the paint begins to tack up and start staying put in about 20 to 30 minutes and then you can just put new paint right over that, building up the surface and colors bit by bit.  After learning how to work on it, I'm rather fond of the surface.

My usual palette of TOY, TOR, Quin Violet, Prussian Blue, and White were used for this painting.

Adapters in Use by Delofasht
Adapters in Use
Here are my table adapters in use to hold my painting on my drafting table.  In the back we can see a modified version being used as a way to attach my lamp to the table at a much higher level.  This is all exceptionally useful in an apartment where I do not want to put holes in the walls with various hardware attachments for hanging stuff on the wall.  I'm very pleased with the 30 minutes of design and construction that I put into these, definitely going to make better ones out of a hardwood rather than these furring strips at some point, but I do love making my prototypes out of furring strips.  :D

Thanks, been busy teaching myself 3D lately so I've not been keeping up with posting here much.   Gotta get back to that, maybe post some of my 3D work when I'm happy with it.

Worth it!   Hopefully someone will take a look at what I fave and give more of your work a look.  That's how I find all the people I like to watch, by looking at their faves, found a lot of really awesome artists that way.
